This innovative area of our school was opened in May of 2006 and lets us record, produce and master recordings for our students, instructors and the public. We offer a Pro Tools suite running on a Mac G5 system. We can accommodate vocal recordings, with either live or prerecorded backing tracks and single musicians or bands. We have several rooms with audio snakes running to each in order to create the right room feel and sound that the artist may want to create. To date we have recorded several band CD projects including local groups “86 Cheese”, “Europa”, “MatthewSax” as well as single vocalist and instrumentalists. Our future plans include having a digital recording studio/lab that we can use to teach students that have interest in learning the basics of recording, editing and producing smaller projects for themselves and/or others without having to spend a lot of time or money doing so.
We will give our students the opportunity to make a recording of themselves, to see what it’s all about, and to see how much work goes into producing a quality recording that they can be proud of. Additionally this recording experience will be a useful learning tool for the students to expand upon their musical skills, and be something to give to family and friends as gifts for the holidays, or to use as a promotional item, or for an audition, etc.
• 48 Channel Pro Tools setup- great mics and plug-ins, several rooms, an outstanding engineer (one of Orlando's best), and a baby grand piano available. Accompanists/studio musicians are also available.
• All size projects: vocals with backing tracks, Radio & on hold ads, Voiceovers, etc. We are very easy to work with and are hardcore musicians with great ears to help you produce the best possible recording!
• We also have a complete music school with coaching available on voice and most instruments.
• We are a Disc Makers partner and have great duplication rates available with a fast turn around.
• We also have graphic designs available to complete your project.
Our rates for the studio are very reasonable, we provide personal service, and we are easy and efficient to work with. Our current rates for the studio with engineer are $55 per hour.
